Better than its abysmal reputation, but still not very good. Why does everyone in Paris have British accents?

Though not the train wreck it's made out to be (on PS4 at least), AC:U, gorgeous and ambitious that it may be, still suffers greatly from the insane amount of side activities being an un-curated mess, and though actually really well-written, the game's lack of narrative engagement with the historically rich setting seems like a missed opportunity to say the least; something which is emphasized if you juxtapose it with string of brilliant dramatic cinematic trailers released before the game.

I think this is one of the more underrated Assassin's Creed games there is, but it does have problems. The story is not well made, and I would have preferred for Elise to be the main character. The combat is a little clunky and punishing. However, the graphics, parkour, and cutscenes are probably some of the best in the series, better than most of what has come afterwards. And it plays great on modern machines. Co-op was a fun feature I wish they would bring back.

The world is beautiful and the parkour is the best of the series. NPC's fill the world with life in a way no other game has accomplished. Unfortunately, most other aspects of the game are underwhelming. But what ACU does well makes up for it's shortcomings.

Great graphics and some cool innovations. The murder mysteries were really nice, I enjoyed the co-op and the timerifts. Arno didn't feel that interesting and the story is just terrible, apart from one or two nice scenes. Side missions are mostly uninteresting and there are too many chests.

Worst game of this series. As you get stuck on walls here and so many glitches that made this one unplayable.

I'm not an Assassin's Creed guy and I only got this one because it had a co-op element. It wasn't put in very well, and when playing it seriously all the bugs showed themselves. However, if you treat this game like it's stupid then there is some fun to be had. Because of that I almost gave it a passing grade but not quite.

The true introduction of the Assassin's Creed franchise to the current gen consoles was eagerly anticipated but resulted in a broken game with countless bugs and graphical 'meme worthy' glitches. Being honest, I didn't get around to playing until the game was patched, and for me this was a very enjoyable AC set amid the French Revolution. The HUD is painfully cluttered and difficult to use but Arno is a likeable albeit standard protagonist and the AC gameplay is solid throughout.

A glitchfest and absolute low point of the series, while graphically impressive the story and overall gameplay are mediocre at best, the addition of co-op is interesting and fun twist that is overwhelmed by bugs and glitches.
