Focused too much on the gimmick levels which, while fun in some cases, was a detriment to the platforming experience. On the other hand, this is the coolest Crash game in terms of style and the platforming focused levels were still fun. Hell, I'd even go so far to say that this game has the best boss battles in the series.

Bogged down by too many stupid minigame levels, but besides that still solid.

I'd always thought this was the best of the original Crash trilogy, but the more I replay them all, the more this one slips into third place. Shocking! I guess I always admired its ease as a child compared to the original, which I couldn't beat without cheat codes. But this is a platformer that doesn't let you platform enough. The levels that do are great, but then they throw you on a cardboard motorbike or airplane or jet ski, and you know, it's just not as fun.

A little too forgiving and motorcycle portions are awful, but I'm a sucker for this series. Still a lot of fun to play.

I don't find it as good as the 2nd one mainly because now to fully complete this there is timed missions in it. Which I don't like timed missions in any game. Other than that I still find this to be an excellent game. Huge levels the boss fights very impressive in this game.

I hate the vehicle portions but I'd go on to love Crash Team Racing.

(Rating based on N. Sane Trilogy remaster) Lost interest enough to not bother finishing it.

The final PS1 entry of Crash Bandicoot made for a solid farewell song. Tight platforming sections were unfortunately marred by a variety of specialty stages, including riding a jetski, scuba diving, and flying an airplane, most of which didn't work great. The new powers were fun to play with, and bosses were fun.
