Dishonored

A stylish stealth-action gem with brilliant mechanics (blink teleport, rat swarms!), but missions grow repetitive fast. The chaos/purity system intrigues, yet enemy AI might as well nap. Creative but monotonous.

There's some cool things you can do by mixing together powers but even then the game is super limited while boasting insufferable design. The game gives you no indication of the enemies detection nor how well you're hidden, and verticality is too much of an easy solution to escape alerted enemies. Powers, especially blink, trivialize encounters in a way you can just skip entire setpieces. This wouldn't be so bad if the AI wasn't so one-note and actually interacted with the powers in some way.

Insanely good game

fantastic story amazing gameplay mechanics. what more would one need?

This game is ten years old and it's still pretty great. The stealth gameplay is tense and exciting, and the way the storytelling enshrines player agency and its very core is terrific. I'm not to crazy about the silent protagonist trope, which is a product of the time period but beyond that this game is a certified classic in my book.

One of two stealth games i can manage , and i still love it a lot , great game.

Too limited, too forceful but in a repetitive way. Good story and world design but not a "GotY" type of game for me.
