FTL: Faster Than Light

It's only downfall is the fact that the final boss is to specifically difficult to beat with some of the variously awesome ways of getting there.

I really thought I would like this game. Nope. Bored to tears almost immediately.

It's a fine game of try, die, cry, repeat.

I've put so many hours into this game, and yet I still always walk away from it with a bad taste in my mouth due to how much each run depends on RNG. You can do everything right in a run, make all the best choices, get to the final boss, and still lose just because the game didn't throw good enough items your way.

sort of interesting for the first hour or so, but become tediously repetitive after a while.

Charming indie game and a personal favourite.
