Frogger

Walking into that arcade swinging my bag of quarters like it's my dick and then getting laughed out of the place after I get smoked on the first board.

Fun fact: Frogger isn't the first "cross a field of dangers with a small character" game.

This was the first PC videogame I ever played. Played bluegrass records in the background. Parkville Dam was a very apropos song. Nostalgia's heavy on the scales.

Frogger doesn't have a lot of gameplay, it's about as simple as it gets. Which is not a bad thing. The game can be challenging and works well as a casual multiplayer experience.

Not a fan of this one where he's dodging cars across the Road just to get to his lily pad.

Jump. Jump. Wait. Wait more. GOD DAMN IT, waited too long. Jump. Jump. Splat!!! Jump. Jump. And there goes my quarter.

Meh.

Even for arcade games of the time there were better options. Not that this is bad, just that it doesn't do a whole lot.

A colorful but simple little game where you play a frog who can't even swim. Some of the sequels have some pretty wild music, though.

It's ok. It gets harder and harder very fast. If you enjoy it, I guess you do well at it. But for me, I guess I didn't like the routine of it all.
