In terms of presentation, this game is god tier - amazing soundtrack, awesome sound design, great aesthetic. That aside, the game doesn't stray far from its roots but expands upon it in unique ways - the game feels faster and more visceral, the stage design is more dynamic with an increased verticality that encourages exploration and alt stages based on how you progressed. Mega Man X took the original formula and took it to the next level, creating some of the best games ever.

As fun to play as it is challenging.

The jump they expect five year old me to do to get the arm upgrade before Zero my lawd. None of the levels feel like a slog, and its over before you begin to hate it.

Just phenomenal SNES action platforming, really raising the bar in how aggressively paced and exciting and kinetic it all feels from the NES Mega Man games with smart additions like the dash and wall jumping. Terrific graphics and music of course, this is Capcom! One of the ultimate "I have a few hours to kill and would like to play a classic game, which one will it be?" games to me.

Really solid reimagining/sideboot 'sequel' of the Mega Man series, improves a lot of elements- particularly the storyline, which is much more of an intrigue plot. Still stealing android powers to defeat other androids. Sorry, reploids, my bad. XD

This is a well-made game but Mega Man had just outstayed his welcome by this point. It needed to do much more than it did to be considering something more than just solid.

Although most of the game is solid and tuned perfectly and allows you to slowly get stronger and develop in several ways, the final boss is pure agony, with no room for error, and a horror show. Torture.

Good game. Although with this game you better get every hidden power up on each level and then your special weapon to make this game a lot easier. If you didn't back track in this game, I probably would give this a higher rating.
