This game is good. You catch pokemon to battle in the stadium game in the N64. This is the hardest of the games. There is also pokemon red and Yellow. Get a gameshark, Catch them at level 100 give them the moves, and max stat each guy in this. This will save you a lot of time.

Ironically, this misses the brokenness of Red/Blue, which adds a layer to those games which this misses. It also forces you to take a horrible Pokemon into the first gym so the difficulty curve is very steep.

Pokémon Yellow is a classic of the RPG genre. It's a very dated game, and extremely glitchy, but at its core, it's the exact same Pokémon game everyone else grew up on. If you like Pokémon, you'll like this.

Pokemon Yellow is still as good as Blue and Red for the most part. The downside is, starting out with Pikachu is a novelty that wears off very quickly. Not to mention making it much more difficult to defeat Brock at the beginning.

Even today this is pure nostalgia fuel. It's definitely not as enjoyable compared to today's standards, but it was pretty revolutionary in the casual RPG genre back in the day. Any Pokemon game is way too casual for me to ever get more than an 8 and the whole world/concept is just way too bullshitty for my taste. Can't deny the nostalgia, though.

a strict upgrade on Red & Blue. for a 6 year old the ultimate fantasy was being Ash, and this game indulged that wish to perfection.
