Tries to be a stealth-action hybrid yet has the worst stealth elements of any first-person stealth game I've ever tried and has terrible visual feedback when it becomes shooty-shooty. This game is only enjoyable on the lowest difficulty, and even then I couldn't make myself finish it. Also, I fucking know that nazis are bad. How about putting an original spin on that formula once in a while?

The gameplay is fun, but the writing is atrocious.

I love the story, the characters, the voice acting, the cinematic cutscenes, the music, the sound design and art direction, the overall presentation. I don't love the corridor shooter game play, the confusing level design, the half-baked stealth mechanics, the punishing health system and hitscan weapons forcing you into cover when you 'd rather run and gun. Play on the lowest difficulty.

I liked the first one more because it was such a surprise. This does a lot of the same things but it suffers from not doing them as well and having the benefit of being the first to do it.

Gets a full 5-point boost from the main villain's death scene. At its best when it embraces a schlocky, grindhousey sort of ridiculous tone. Solid soundtrack except for the end credit song which is a weak-ass Twisted Sister cover. Grinded through on the hardest difficulty, but had to go all the way down to the easiest setting for the final boss fight; not a fun final encounter

Best FPS Game Series for me.

Not as mature or enjoyable as the previous title, with too many injections of levity too often. Plot is utterly ridiculous, but not necessarily in a bad way. The post-game is a nice feature.

The story alone makes this game a must play or at least see... The weakest is the gameplay that can be frustrating if playing on higher difficulties.
