I put 30 hours into this and still haven't even touched a good chunk of th map, every single time i start to play I end up with 20 different sidequests. I love this new direction the franchise took but I also hate it because it will take me months to finish this nonsense

The first and last Assassin's Creed game I'm ever going to play (as playing this coincided with me finally getting fed up with Ubisoft's other big franchise Far Cry), I really enjoyed the ancient Greek setting & piloting a trireme + naval combat. They could have done more with the impact of the Peloponnesian War in the in-game world, as it doesn't seem to matter at all whether Sparta or Athens controls a province. Also it would have been great to have had more mythological/supernatural content.

I don't have the rose-tinted glasses that a lot of people have for the older AC games and actually do think this is a step up from them, but it's still the most corporate, tedious, vacuous, monotonous executive slop that epitomizes the worst tendencies of the AAA space even if it executes those tendencies at a slightly higher level than most

Solid gameplay. Massive map. High-level production. Great performance on PC -- other these annoying multi-second pauses. Other than a few moments, story felt really flat. Combat felt too click happy. Non-basic movement felt clunky at times.

More enjoyable than Origins, but that might be because I love Greek history and mythology. The core story of reassembling your family is strong, but, once again, there's just too much going on here to provide a focused, streamlined experience - maybe I'm just getting impatient in my old age. Still good overall.

It's badly written and uninspired which is not really surprising for an Ubisoft game. But the possibility to travel across the entirety of Greece during the Penepolosian war is a marvelous feat.

A shiny exterior suggests greatness, yet inside there's nothing but disappointment and broken promises. Nearly every aspect of this game fails to reach it's potential.

Jesus people, get to the point! 100+ hours of gameplay are worth shit if you're bored all the way through, you know?

Somehow it feels and looks like older than origins and even unity

An expansion of the previous well-balanced reboot, that crams in tons and tons of side quests and expands on the RPG lite mechanics, making it less focused, but if you're like me and only get to play once in a while, the eclectic nature of the game worked well enough. It leaned a bit too heavily into mythology and AC-lore for my likings, but a fun, sprawling adventure none the less.

Gigantic and a huge mess of gameplay styles taken from several different sources yet it somehow works quite well. It helps that Kassandra freaking rules.

This is by far the best Assassin's Creed in the whole series. If you haven't played the other ones, don't bother. So this is basically like Origins and they vastly improved on the combat system with 4 abilities to use for your sword and 4 more to use with the bow and arrow. RPG elements in this game so you'll have to level your guy up. The game is huge and will take 40+ hours to complete. Also like the last game 0 Stealth missions which is great.

It's quite fun and the production values are impressive, but the gameplay is a little too shallow for a game of this scope. Some of the writing is good too, but the quest structure encourages superficiality.

I like the open world and skill point aspects. You can get plenty of ship action if that is your thing as well. It's slightly grindy, but not too bad.
