"gamers are the worst fucking people" - phil fish, creator of FEZ. case in point: the user PendejoJorge describing him as an "unlikable faggot".

I'll never get the love for this game. The gameplay loop is incredibly boring; while the stage flipping gimmick is interesting the platforming is completely braindead to the point this gimmick becomes almost pointless. Even fans of the games will admit this, yet they'll praise it for its puzzles which are overly lateral and boring. A lot of the puzzles don't become complex until the late game, and even then, it can be overly obtuse to the point you'll brute force it or cheese it some other way

I didn't really enjoy this, but I do feel for Phil Fish to a degree. The internet is a terrible place and I'm glad very few people there pay any attention to me. The comment about Japanese games still rubs me the wrong way, but who hasn't said something dumb sometime.

Fez is a unique puzzle platformer that sometimes feels undercooked yet some sections are painfully slow. The width and breadth of puzzles is truly staggering for such a small world and simple mechanics.

Very beautiful pixel art. Very chill experience. If you like exploring and getting lost in wonder, this game is for you.

Definitely worth playing for being fun and unique, although the puzzle design seems needlessly obtuse sometimes. You literally cannot finish this game without a guide because you have to do things like stand in a place and input an exact button sequence.
