I've spent a lot of time playing this game competitively and was actually one of the best players in my region. That said, the game is pretty shallow - it feels much slower compared to 3rd Strike and I disliked the skewed risk/reward ratio. The mechanics such as input shortcuts, huge reversal windows, invincible backdashes, and ultras are utterly stupid for a fighting game. While there are characters that are fun to play, such as El Fuerte and Hakan, I wouldn't regard this game highly.

i didnt have the super version. but i remember hating the graphics and the feel and it was too hard

I'll stick to Mortal Kombat

I'm pretty sure this is a really good game, but no amount of effort seems to make fighters "click" for me. It's not you, it's me.

Juri's my girl. I've had so much fun with this game, I've bought it twice (PS3 and PC). The matchmaking for the online play can be dumb though.

The best fighting game of the PS3/360 era? Definitely in contention, at least in my opinion.
