I kept playing Goldfinger's "Superman" on repeat until I puked (which wasn't that long considering how the game gave me severe motion sickness) Grinding rails was so satisfying, but not as satisfying as bailing face first through the plate glass window on the Warehouse stage.

This changed my life. It was the first video game I really played obsessively. But more importantly, it made skateboarding mainstream which was a weird (somewhat good, somewhat bad) change to the culture I was deeply into.

Confession time: I played this game with the music off so it was just the sounds of Tony and his board. It's uncomfortable.

There are some minor control issues with the game. And not all the levels are up to par. Overall, this first in the series is a fast and fun game. There are plenty of tricks to learn and the graphics are appealing for the time.

Pretty solid for its day, this was a complete game-changer for extreme sports when it was released.

A good game but lacks a lot of the cool mechanics that gave depth to future titles. For one, manuals and wall rides did not exist at this point so it leaves out a lot of the cool combos in later games. Not only that, but the physics and momentum are slow comparatively and levels are relatively barebones in terms of objectives. Still, this was a good first start to a fantastic series exuding good level design and great mechanics that would be maintained to even modern titles.
