Eric Sparrow is the biggest asshole in gaming

Probably my favorite Tony Hawk.

I wasn't too fond of the story mode and some of the asinine missions they have you do are somehow worse than THPS4's mini-games. On the other hand they do add neat mechanics such as dismounting and wallpush which add a lot to the core mechanics. A shame that's complemented by a schlocky story that has too many asinine gimmicks and a shitty tournament structure. That's not to say all the skate challenges are bad, but I could go without the shitty driving missions.

if this is the one i think, you created a character and it had the best story of a tony hawk game. and that guy woke up on the wrong side of his mother. and you got to create your own special trick right

I cared about the story as a kid, as an adult cant take this seriously at all

THUG is still Tony Hawk. The open worlds are fun to play in and the story works surprisingly well thanks to, and I even surprise myself to say this, one of the greatest villains in the history of video games. It also carries over the excellent mechanics from the Pro Skater series while adding their own wrinkles that play off and benefit the open world.

With lasting appeal beyond even those who are not interested in sports games. Underground is built with endless customization and an actual story worth playing through.
