Not such a fan of the hero, he's kind of bland, but the story is pretty good. While I'm not head over heels in love with this Star Wars metroidvania, I acknowledge that it's a great game made by one of the more solid developers in the game right now. Fun combat, some good puzzles, actual entertaining platforming, great visuals and adherence to Star Wars aesthetics. Maybe I'd be higher on this if I was a bigger Star Wars fan than I am, because really, I can't think of much to criticize this for.

Equal parts fun and frustration. The game is very difficult, because it requires very precise timing and you need to learn how to recognize and anticipate large movesets, requiring several attempts with most boss fights. The story is good, although the acting could have been better. Visuals are good, but not quite up to par with the best of the generation either. Solid game, but limited replayability, except maybe in the easiest mode. due to the frustration endured

This is a close-to-excellent Star Wars game. It feels like it's one sequel away from Respawn nailing it. Apart from some rough edges, which I can easily ignore, I think the combat system in this is unforgivable and unintuitive, smacking the hands of all players -- including those who focus and pay attention. Should it be overhauled for a sequel, I think Star Wars gaming may see a resurgence. And let me be clear: I want a sequel. This game understands why it's fun to inhabit this galaxy.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is fine. I will give it credit for pulling off some decent Dark Souls-esque combat (only took 8 years to realize lightlabers in a Souls game would be an obvious slam dunk) but the world is a tedious chore to explore, full of boring collectables, and the map doesn't help. Throw in the most generic "Star Wars" story you possibly can and you get a game that is fine. Maybe the sequel will get it right? The pieces are certainly all there.

The framework of a good game is here, but the execution is messy and falls flat. It pulls many ideas from different games but doesn't really understand how they work, and it's further hampered by severe performance issues and more glitches than EA's usual standard, and that's saying a lot. Even as far as Star Wars games go it can't hold a candle to the Jedi Knight series, KOTOR or even The Force Unleashed. Star Wars fanatics might get a kick out of it but anyone else can skip this one.

This game is trash. Great story from the beginning and then this game falls really flat. I am fighting 1 type of enemy which is a worm. Lack of direction of where to go in this game. Map is way to complex to understand what it is you need to be doing. After 3 hours of playing this and trying to know which direction you are supposed to go. I just went around in circles. Main problem with these new gen games. Complexity from Point A to B. Please show me proper directions by showing a marker.
