Life Is Strange

I'm not sure why or how I got invested so deep in this game about angsty teenage girls, but holy shit, this game stuck it's claws into me something fierce and didn't let go. This game made me feel so many emotions while playing it, I might as well have been an 18 year old girl myself! I loved the plot twists throughout each chapter and the soundtrack is amazing. I'm also a sucker for anything involving time travel. That fucking end decision was so hard! I was definitely Pricefield the first time

Quite possibly one of the dumbest games I've ever encountered. If not for Adum Plaze's walkthrough of the game, I'd find this title unbearable. The time travel mechanics are never used in an interesting way, and the plot is written in the most moronic and juvenile way imaginable. I struggle to think of a protagonist more unlikable than Chloe, or a game that pulls off so many insulting ass pulls while acting like it's brilliant. It gets points for a solid atmosphere, but otherwise it's awful.

If your teenage years weren't bad enough, you can have a second serve with this.

This game would not be half as insufferable if one didn't have to listen to the protagonist's endless internal monologues throughout. Teenagers are the worst.

Teenage drama with lots of cutscenes. Just my kind of game.

I love the characters and the setting. If it wasn't for the heavy hand in the final episodes, I'd hate it much higher. Too bad it didn't focus more on the lives of the protagonists which are much more interesting than the weird kidnapping mystery.

Most critiques I've seen for this game seem to forget that not every character is meant to mirror the player('s experiences). This game tells a compelling story of how chaotic it is to be a teenager, how much more chaotic it becomes when you get caught up in a storm of tragic events and dangerous superpowers. The worldbuilding, aesthetics, people and the fluff content in this game are incredibly detailed and accurate to that time to the point that this game has more value as a time capsule rather than a good game. While the game story has some foreshadowing, a cool structure and cool characters, there is no character development for the two MC's and the gameplay mostly isnt fun at all. They also get too wordy sometimes which was especially annoying during more time sensitive scenes.
