Marvel's Spider-Man

Straight up fun with one of best Spider-Man stories I've seen. Better than any of the Marvel movies in terms of scope and character development.

Makes every other Spider-Man game look like hot garbage by comparison. There's a lot crammed in here, but they do a good job of integrating some elements in a more piece-meal fashion to avoid overwhelming you. There's a cut-scene where Peter and Mary Jane are just hanging out in her apartment making dinner and it was more feel-good-spidey-fun than any of the live action movies. The stealth is so linear it might as well be a cutscene, but I appreciate the inclusion of so much out-of-suit content.

The world is beautifully designed and a lot of fun to just web sling around in; I did find the combat sections to get a bit tedious and redundant though.

I don't even own a ps4 and I got the platinum trophy. Ez pz

“With great power comes great responsibility” is a comforting lie. It assumes responsibility is a tax on the exceptional, letting the unbitten off the hook. Insomniac’s Spider-Man dismantles this. Its veteran Peter fights not from destiny, but daily, unforced choice. Web-swinging physicalizes Sartre’s radical freedom: you're never anchored. The true secret isn't about superpowers. Great game, swinging is slightly slow but story is amazing

Fun to 100%

One of, if not the best super hero games ever made. If you haven't played it, go play it now. The story, the combat, the graphics are all top notch here and it smashes any other spider man game. My one major gripe, the Mary Jane sections. Plat difficulty 4/10.
