Straight up fun with one of best Spider-Man stories I've seen. Better than any of the Marvel movies in terms of scope and character development.

Makes every other Spider-Man game look like hot garbage by comparison. There's a lot crammed in here, but they do a good job of integrating some elements in a more piece-meal fashion to avoid overwhelming you. There's a cut-scene where Peter and Mary Jane are just hanging out in her apartment making dinner and it was more feel-good-spidey-fun than any of the live action movies. The stealth is so linear it might as well be a cutscene, but I appreciate the inclusion of so much out-of-suit content.

The world is beautifully designed and a lot of fun to just web sling around in; I did find the combat sections to get a bit tedious and redundant though.

One of, if not the best super hero games ever made. If you haven't played it, go play it now. The story, the combat, the graphics are all top notch here and it smashes any other spider man game. My one major gripe, the Mary Jane sections. Plat difficulty 4/10.

This game is a favorite with a fantastic story, characters, and voice acting. While bosses and MJ sections are weak, it excels in animation fluidity, outstanding graphics, and detailed New York. The web-swinging is thrilling, and the combat is fluid and complex, offering a consistently great experience.

Really good game. Really good story , lot's of action and also good if you are looking for a bit of a fast paced but long enough type of game.

The game's combat has a lot of fun quirks and the general gameplay loop is fine, but man it's so full of garbage gimmick levels, boring side activities, one-dimensional boss fights, and canned encounters I started to grow numb playing this. Compared to other Spidey games, actual web-swinging is shallow and general mobility can be unnecessarily obnoxious at times. Story is mediocre, has a few strong plot beats but has little going on thematically and does little with its cast overall.

My main complaint is how bloated it is. With a faster progression system, less side quests, and some less main story quests, I would raise it's score. But swinging is a lot of fun, combat is fun for many hours and the combat-cinematics are amazing.

Spider-Man perfected the form of "arkham" style combat. The traversal remains thrilling throughout the entirety of the experience and makes something commonly very boring, moving through an open world, into an essential part of the gameplay experience. The story held my attention but wasn't very engaging. The open world is beautiful and fun to traverse, but filled with cookie cutter objectives. Overall a great experience, but lacking a few things that would've elevated it greatly.

It's weird how ripping off the ARKHAM-series and changing just a few things makes for an amazing SPIDER-MAN game, but work ti does.

Game's great but I was really stoned playing it at one point and there's a mission where you have to look for scrapes on the floor to see where there are hidden doors or something and they said the word 'scrapes' SO much and now the word scrapes is forever weird to me. DLC was bad

I mean, I liked it, but damn did it rip of the Arkham games, all the way down to the controls. It lacked the sinister atmosphere of those games and didn't quite make up for with humour. It actually worked better in the sad and serious parts. After finishing it I kinda wanna play the Arkham trilogy again, but I almost always feel like that. (And, yes Morten, I want to get all the trophies again.) But I also wanna dig out my old Spider-Man comics and give them a read.

It's getting this rating for the following reasons. Bosses were not fun to beat in this game as I kept circling around.Stealth missions with Mary Jane & Miles were really annoying. Also the Mary Jane puzzles which I couldn't skip in this game even though you put skip puzzles in the options menu. The RPG elements now that go into open World games to waste time before doing the missions. I completed this game fully.

Nice, but I would like to see more supervillains than some fresh faces. I mean, how many times we have seen Rhino, Shocker or Scorpion. There are tons of villains and we have never played against them.

I had several song glitches in free roam (ambient song would not play after a main mission being completed) and I had a major save file crash in the very last mission, I was lucky it seems the developers knew this and this game have a mechanic which it saves twice, the second one being a backup save file which it worked just fine. Had to give a 10 for finally getting a spidey game which have an amazing story, awesome gameplay and OST and awesome bosses.

And is this enough? I keep asking that question. Lots of side quests and enough main story (for me, anyway) – so what’s the problem? Is it that I kind of did this already with ARKHAM CITY? I mean, the games both play very differently and very similarly, and I can’t stop drawing comparisons.
