I seem to be alone in thinking the gameplay is outright bad, and while I like some dialog in them, a lot of side quests are a chore. Still, this game goes to some wonderful places by the end.

The story, characters, themes, and music are basically unparalleled in the medium. Admittedly, the gameplay is generic af and the anime bullshit is set to 11, but I didn't even mind by the end.

the narrative decisions can make it hard to make it though to the end, but it's well worth it. one of the best games of the decade and one of the best achievements in game storytelling since MGS2 and the Zero Escape franchise. highly recommended for bans of Bayonetta and/or Kierkegaard

An existentialist tale. A story about how humanity (and beyond) keep repeating the same mistakes following ideology.

NieR:Automata sets a new standard for what is possible within video gaming. Not content with one of the greatest stories in the medium, the game speaks with an emotional clarity and resonance that is unparalleled in an art form still defining itself. This game did not just move me, it expanded my capacity for emotional understanding, made me feel like a child again, and that the world still had wonders left to discover. "It was hard for me as well. One thing is certain, I'm in your corner."

Eskiden oyun puanland?rma skalas?nda tam puan türe uzak olanlar dahil herkesin mutlaka oynamas? gereken oyunlara verilirdi. Nier kimi buglar?, oynan?? çe?itlili?ine ra?men sonlarda artik baymasi gibi özellikleriyle tam puan alamayacak olup tam puanl?k oyunlar?n en güzellerinden.

The unconventional narrative (best to keep spoilers to a minimum here) feels like a breath of fresh air in a terribly stale genre. Shame about the shallow and repetitive gameplay though. I actually preferred the bullet hell segments to the normal combat.

Your enjoyment of this game will hinge on whatever technical issues you may run into with it (PC players beware!), but even then it has glaring problems that seem to go ignored in a sea of unanimous praise. Most things Yoko Taro thinks makes this game unique makes it trite. The novelty factor of each new element introduced wears off quickly because his great ideas don't translate well into gameplay, and they don't translate well because he tries to do everything at once. Only play for the story.

There's something about this game that, occasionally, manages to his its emotional mark as well as any art piece should. But the writing isn't up to the task, and the attempts at philosophy are abysmal.

some things are annoying. like getting around long distances lol even small. weapons/combos etc can be cool. i think the programs or whatever will get cool. i like the setting story lore world so far. boss fights/spectacle nice. love how they made top down rail shooter shit modern but too annoying sometimes lol especially when you fight on land that way. like shooting constantly is awkward. other little problems i can't remember

I have complex feelings about this game, wherein I think it has great use of production values and memorable moments but the overall conceit is bland. Robots with emotion are as old as Asimov, but this game's play on this is orthodox with Taro's usual emotional melisma. The game isn't anywhere near as outlandish or risque as Taro's usual fare, which makes this a lot more boring to me. The gameplay is typical Platinum but among their worse, combat has neat ideas but is fairly shallow.

Combat didn't really do it for me, but everything else is cool.

A 9 that feels like an 8 because of the superior atmosphere and mystery of the original Nier.

There are things I didn't like about this game (invisible walls, weirdly visible panties) but I just found it so fun. I also love that it was built with major replayability.

Engaging battles, a compelling artistic direction (especially if one has an affinity for sexy robots). Beneath it all, a thought-provoking philosophical narrative within a rich lore waiting to be delved into, and succeeding to avoid being dull. Sometimes the story embarks in a humouristic jaunt, only to traverse the darkest tragedy at other times. It's one of those games where it's easy to lose yourself in its facinating world.

I seem to be the only person who dislikes the story and the way the themes are handled. The world is precious and it feels great running through it though. It's not bad but it's not great either and that's fine.
