Initially, I thought this looked stupid, but after playing it's a lot of fun. MMR is questionable as routinely get shit on by smurfs but it's still a nice game, especially with friends.

Considering that this is the game I have put the most time into ever, giving it a score feels strange, like giving a score to basketball or rugby. On a similar note, at the highest level it bridges the gap between e-sports and sports, where the stars express their creativity through their gameplay in a way closer to Lionel Messi than to anything in video games.

This is a good game as you challenge your friends to bash a ball in their net while driving a car. Unique concept of a video game as I never seen anything like this before.

Good but has problems with the matchmaking and the learning curve is a bit too steep. That said I can see myself but in dozens of hours into this so I kinda feel wrong not giving it over 80, but maybe I'll come back here at 40+ hours when I can actually hit the ball towards the net and then give it a higher mark.

This is probably the best football game ever made. It's mechanics are extremely well refined and addicting. I can see how this game would sustain a fanbase and possibly an e-sport for a long time.

The sleeper hit that was brutally snubbed for Best Multiplayer at last years Game Awards. Rocket League is deceptively simple and unbelievably addicting. One of the easiest games to pick up and play in years. It may be RC cars playing soccer with an over-sized that explodes the second it crosses a goal line, but the tension guaranteed in each match is the excitement and fun people play video games for.

Rocket cars, giant ball, soccer pitch within a dome. Flying all over the place, bumping and demo'ing others. Holy shit this is fun. So simple, so fun. Savage!

I propose that you have not lived until you've scored a goal, by hitting an oversized ball, in mid-air, flying your time travelling DeLorean, with two seconds of a match to go. This is the best co-operative online game I have ever played.

This game has a near infinite skill ceiling. The design of the mechanics gives such astounding potential for control of your car and the ball. It's a riotous good time until you end up in a game with somebody who has 100p hour's more than you in game and you just want to die.

It's the most hours I've ever put in a game as an adult with a full time job. Then I realized I hit my ceiling without practicing (I'm not going to do that for a video game) and it became serious enough business for some people that the second you conceded a goal it was a race to see which teammate would blame everyone else. I still play from time to time but it doesn't take long for me to get frustrated and stop again. Also the loot boxes are bullshit. Cosmetic or not they are slot machines.

This is a really neat, unique concept and I'm happy it's successful, but it's just a frustration generator for me. Messing up some mechanical skill in a videogame has never irritated me as much as it does every time I miss that ball. It's a nice game but I can't do it.
