Quite possibly one of the dumbest games I've ever encountered. If not for Adum Plaze's walkthrough of the game, I'd find this title unbearable. The time travel mechanics are never used in an interesting way, and the plot is written in the most moronic and juvenile way imaginable. I struggle to think of a protagonist more unlikable than Chloe, or a game that pulls off so many insulting ass pulls while acting like it's brilliant. It gets points for a solid atmosphere, but otherwise it's awful.

I'm not sure why or how I got invested so deep in this game about angsty teenage girls, but holy shit, this game stuck it's claws into me something fierce and didn't let go. This game made me feel so many emotions while playing it, I might as well have been an 18 year old girl myself! I loved the plot twists throughout each chapter and the soundtrack is amazing. I'm also a sucker for anything involving time travel. That fucking end decision was so hard! I was definitely Pricefield the first time

This game would not be half as insufferable if one didn't have to listen to the protagonist's endless internal monologues throughout. Teenagers are the worst.

If your teenage years weren't bad enough, you can have a second serve with this.

Life Is Strange is a game I very much wanted to like but I just couldn't. The game has some very strong charm and I feel like a lot of heart was put into it, but that ultimately couldn't save this game from its flaws. Its characters all feel very bland and one-note, and the plot is very meandering and melodramatic, and not in a good way. One major mystery goes completely unsolved and the game ends in a binary choice that renders the rest of it ultimately completely meaningless.

Teenage drama with lots of cutscenes. Just my kind of game.

I love the characters and the setting. If it wasn't for the heavy hand in the final episodes, I'd hate it much higher. Too bad it didn't focus more on the lives of the protagonists which are much more interesting than the weird kidnapping mystery.

A perfect emotional hurricane—where Max’s rewind power, Chloe’s ”hella” angst, and Arcadia Bay’s looming storm make every choice hurt. The soundtrack? Indie dream. The ending? Soul-crushing

One of the greatest games I’ve ever played. It’s fun to submerse into and just play. The story is top tier as well.

bizarre twists and an ending that left me feeling frustrated, empty, and betrayed are, at least partly, redeemed by what I felt for the characters. an extremely mixed experience

I liked this so much more than I thought I would. There were definitely some cringeworthy moments in the storytelling, but overall it was engaging, had some cool mechanics, and didn't overstay its welcome. Probably not quite to the level of the Walking Dead Season 1 that this will inevitably be compared to, but still pretty formidable in its own right.

Gets a pass for vibe and mechanics. I don't remember the story too much but I'd probably find it a bit melodramatic on replay.

Mixed feelings on this one. The mystery of the story was great, and I think this is one of the butterfly effect games I've played that has really used that mechanic to its full potential. But where it started falling flat for me was with most of the characters and their relationships. I liked where a lot of them were going, but it felt like most of them were never rounded out. Usually, that wouldn't be too big of a deal to me, but just because of the story this tells, it's difficult to ignore.

Wow... This Ending made me cry. Its one of those Games. Great Story and the last Episode is Mind blowing

Entertaining and mostly upbeat episodic adventure. Life Is Strange has its own distinctive style, helping it to standout from others in the genre. The characters are all fleshed out with such rigorous detail, as is the world in which you navigate, strengthening player investment. The game isn't perfect and I did encounter an awfully annoying game breaking glitch...though overall that doesn't detract from the experience. Solid, solid game

A well executed story heavy game, with some interesting choice mechanics. Despite it's fantastical plot elements (and in several places, not entirely sound logic) it still manages to conjure a believable and engaging story, reminiscent of Donnie Darko. My main criticism would be it's length, several sections just feel too long and drawn out, in particular the last episode.

Leaves a lot to be desired in terms of production. Vacant faces, wooden animations, horror-helmet-hair, stiff voice-acting. Don't get me started on the time travel and how thoughtless it's implemented. Still, like any halfway decent series, it will hook you if you manage to stick with it long enough, and some twists would've hit hard if the whole game wasn't built around instantly chickening out. If you're up for a dawson's creek rendition of donnie darko's butterfly effect...sure, have at it.

didn't finish ep 1 yet. i like where it's going. not enough of what i'd like more yet.

Loved the final episode and the ending. I love it when media delivers a strong and innovative final act and Life is Strange definitely succeeds in that! Overall I really liked the atmosphere and most of the music. There were some slow moments and sometimes a bit too much teenage drama, but in the end it's all forgiven for such an excellent finale. Uplifting!

There are many flaws to this game, but the good things are truly great.

A great story even if its resolution left a lot unexplained.

At first i thought it was really something... for girls. A sensitive story-driven adventure game about high school. And it is. But... it's more than that, spoiler alert.

never had a game destroy me for days after it ended

A compelling story-driven experience with a likable lead. Some of the power usages are menial but it's still a solid playthrough.

Only played a couple episodes, thought it was a nicely told story that left you with intriguing enough questions that you'd want to see the story unfold. For whatever reason though I just didn't go back. I just don't care for the episodic format, I think.
