sound track is out of this world. The concept and gameplay of galaxy worlds is extremely creative. Love the story book, and the galaxy station as the world hub. The first game actually has a story that's crafted with quality to enjoy. The second game, however, feels like the story is thrown out, sidelined, and not given care at all.

Like a lot of Mario Games: it is very fun until the final castle, then it is a boring, unreward slog that makes me feel bitter once I've finished it.

Wow! Is this the first, Criticker Games review ever? How do I start? Where do I begin? The game had several problems (A hubworld that was annoying to navigate, boss fights that were too easy, a slight lack of variety in level types); all of which were addressed and fixed in the superior SMG2, but even then it still ends up being one the greatest 3D platformers ever, challenged only by other titles in the mustochioed plumbers library.

Mario is still as creative as ever, and this game proves it. The game doesn't feel as mechanically refined as Mario 64 and the Wiimote motion controls felt awful to me, but the level design was fantastic and it utilizes most of its gimmicks perfectly. The game is a bit too much on the easy side, but the game is filled with enough content and variety that it'll keep you entertained from beginning to end.

This is a platforming masterpiece. Yeah, I really think it is. Few games leave such an indelible mark on me, but I distinctly being wowed at almost every mechanic in this game. I couldn't put it down. It's the absolute must-play title from the Wii.

Fun gameplay, but I'm just not a fan of the Mario franchise. This did feel like a nice spiritual successor to Super Mario 3D, though, what with being the flagship Mario title on the Wii.

It's good, of course, but I'm not as crazy about this one as most people or in the context of the broader franchise. I found the motion controls to be annoying at best and extremely aggravating at worst, and the camera gave me much of a headache in Galaxy than any other Mario game

Somehow managed to expand on Super Mario 64 and platform gaming in ways I thought were impossible before playing. Galaxy is a true testament to the game design and idea factory of Nintendo able to think outside of boxes other devs didn't even think to consider existed.

Man the way this game played with gravity felt so exciting and different from the word go! The camera and controls could occasionally frustrate a hair. But the level design always felt so big and bold and ballsy, and man that orchestrated soundtrack is really something.

In films, this is when there ideas fell, in Mario its where it risen.

Darn good, but feels incredibly small. All the little mini-planets and egregious asset reuse prevent this from feeling like a sprawling adventure the same way 64 and Sunshine did, but as a more linear level-based affair it's still pretty fucking good. Also the soundtrack is incredible and Rosalina's a smokeshow.

This is the first 3D Mario game I feel like I can praise on it's own merits. The gameplay is the best since World and the level design, in some ways, rival 3. It has interesting art and a lot of creative ideas. A nice step for Mario as a whole.

The level design is wonderfully unique and the way the game plays with gravity is intriguing. Galaxy, however, is completely let down by frustrating and poorly designed controls. Had it been on any other console, it would have been a bona fide classic.
