The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a sprawling, immersive RPG with a rich narrative, deep world-building, and memorable characters. The game excels in storytelling, offering morally complex quests and multiple endings that reflect player choices. The open world is beautifully crafted, filled with dynamic side quests and atmospheric details that bring the Slavic-inspired fantasy to life

Considerably better than the previous two games. While it's far from my favorite game as some people place it, I do understand why people view it that way. I think it still doesn't have quite as strong of a story or acting as my favorite games, but it was definitely a satisfying conclusion of the trilogy, although I will say that it's a little longer than it needs to be. There are a few mechanics that I'm not a huge fan of, although thankfully there are mods to help with that.

This game is trash. 1 + hours or tutorials they pause the game, they tell you what to do each time you encounter something. This is a game with telling you where to go & what to do because of a radar meter & map in this game. There's RPG elements, a lot of complex things in the pause menu etc. 5 + hours in all of a sudden this game doesn't show you where you are supposed to go or what to do. This is like a 50 + hour game. I don't need the frustration with this game.

I heard so many good things about this game but wow. About an hour of boring cut scenes and training and boring dialogue. Once the game let me move around I was immediately killed by a ghost that kept teleporting behind me. One hour for that? Really? Why are all the characters so gloomy? Why is everything in this game so sad and boring?

I'll go against the grain here and say this isn't the essential open world title people claim it to be. The story is, overall, alright with a handful of stand out moments that don't hold up the entire 60 hour runtime. The combat is serviceable, at best. The open world itself, while pretty, feels like it lacks a reason to be explored and is populated by npc's that serve only as backround props. There's interesting ideas in the mechanics that are all unfortunately to under cooked to reach potentia

Such a beautiful, expansive world to explore. I tend to have a hard time connecting with fantasy worlds but The Witcher is one world that I would be happy to get lost in any time. Sure, it's big to the point of being overwhelming and there are whole game mechanics that I never touched (I have no idea how adrenaline points work or what toxicity is), and the moment-to-moment gameplay can be clunky at times but the overall package wraps everything in a greater than the sum of its parts kind of way.

The main story is often cliche, and at times terrible. But there are lots of great story arcs, and the truly epic scale of this game (with good quality overall) more than makes up for the writing flaws. Best part: you win the game by being a good father, and lose the game by being a bad father; this is the true potential of videogames.

Not perfect, because a game or a work of art is sum of its parts. Some parts are handled like no other, some are well out-dated or mediocre at best. The best thing about this game is not the sheer scope of it's open world, which actually is an out-dated design, but Novigrad itself which is so alive and organically designed.

So depressing realising this game was shit. It got hyped out its asshole and I've been looking for a good open world RPG ever since finishing the good Bethesda ones. I really thought this would be it cause it has an open world and side quests with dialogue choices. But no, it's horseshit. When did gameplay get replaced by story and everyone lapped it up as a good thing? When did tight, responsive controls get replaced with tedious animations and people praised it?

The gameplay is a bit lacking. That's the only bad thing I can say. This is nearly unrivaled as far as characters and storytelling go. It puts you into a bleak and self-centered world and forces you to view it all from the outside looking in. This is what makes it brilliant. It helps when you also have the awesome monster design and more interesting characters than have ever been seen before. An early favorite for best of the generation.

Witcher 3 is the best RPG experience in the modern era, hands down.Top-tier writing and dialogue, combined with a deep and interesting RPG system, topped off with solid combat. Everything about the game, ranging from character design to lore-building, screams EFFORT. A must play.

A game never feels too big for me because at some point I mostly stop doing side-quests and just go about the main quest. The main quest is so good but then the secondary quests are often times better than the main quests in any other game. This is full of memorable characters, an amazing soundtrack, inspired visuals, an awesome card game. The combat is fluid but not incredibly deep, same goes with the progression system... but they both work admirably. Any bugs/flaws it has are minor.
