It's legitimately amazing how good the game is and even more amazing that I just can't find it in me to care. Gonna live on my hard drive as a game I intend to finish but know I never will.

The combat SUCKS and there's too much to do and I just sit there staring at the map overwhelmed till I turn the game off while telling people "yeah it's good"

The main questline could be better (especially in the final third of the game.)

Marginally more playable and much prettier than the previous two Witcher games but just as much a long unpleasant slog with weak character writing and little to motivate the player.

better than i expected. some of the sidequests, in particular, are excellent. however this is still a thoroughly tolkienesque fantasy world, and there's a limit to my enjoyment of this sort of thing. main story isn't very interesting.

I heard so many good things about this game but wow. About an hour of boring cut scenes and training and boring dialogue. Once the game let me move around I was immediately killed by a ghost that kept teleporting behind me. One hour for that? Really? Why are all the characters so gloomy? Why is everything in this game so sad and boring?

Such an amazing playthrough. Great voice acting and side quests.Choices often have to be made that have you struggling. Lots of expansions and side missions. Loved it.

A game never feels too big for me because at some point I mostly stop doing side-quests and just go about the main quest. The main quest is so good but then the secondary quests are often times better than the main quests in any other game. This is full of memorable characters, an amazing soundtrack, inspired visuals, an awesome card game. The combat is fluid but not incredibly deep, same goes with the progression system... but they both work admirably. Any bugs/flaws it has are minor.

Vanilla game is great but really struggles with some parts of it's engine. The writing shines through in some quests and main story beats but falls short elsewhere. The expansions, however, are absolutely worth playing.

a largely very good game curtailed by an overbearing, terrible soundtrack.

Considerably better than the previous two games. While it's far from my favorite game as some people place it, I do understand why people view it that way. I think it still doesn't have quite as strong of a story or acting as my favorite games, but it was definitely a satisfying conclusion of the trilogy, although I will say that it's a little longer than it needs to be. There are a few mechanics that I'm not a huge fan of, although thankfully there are mods to help with that.

Not perfect, because a game or a work of art is sum of its parts. Some parts are handled like no other, some are well out-dated or mediocre at best. The best thing about this game is not the sheer scope of it's open world, which actually is an out-dated design, but Novigrad itself which is so alive and organically designed.

So depressing realising this game was shit. It got hyped out its asshole and I've been looking for a good open world RPG ever since finishing the good Bethesda ones. I really thought this would be it cause it has an open world and side quests with dialogue choices. But no, it's horseshit. When did gameplay get replaced by story and everyone lapped it up as a good thing? When did tight, responsive controls get replaced with tedious animations and people praised it?

Such a beautiful, expansive world to explore. I tend to have a hard time connecting with fantasy worlds but The Witcher is one world that I would be happy to get lost in any time. Sure, it's big to the point of being overwhelming and there are whole game mechanics that I never touched (I have no idea how adrenaline points work or what toxicity is), and the moment-to-moment gameplay can be clunky at times but the overall package wraps everything in a greater than the sum of its parts kind of way.

Oynanışı iyi olsa herkes gibi başyapıt diyebilirdim ama... En temel öğe iyi değil maalesef. Ama ana ve yan hikaye, evreni, atmosferi, müzikleri bende ayrıdır.

I don't much care for Ciri and unfortunately, this game's all about Ciri. The card game's pretty fun.

Fantastic world and story that gives you enough to keep you interested while holding back enough to keep you encountering new creatures late game, not just new quests. The fighting is a little repetitive, yet you can change to any style you like.

I think this game was just too large for its own good. Maybe I should have limited myself to doing less rather than completing pretty much everything. That aside, I got really drawn in by the lovely world and interesting characters.

I'll go against the grain here and say this isn't the essential open world title people claim it to be. The story is, overall, alright with a handful of stand out moments that don't hold up the entire 60 hour runtime. The combat is serviceable, at best. The open world itself, while pretty, feels like it lacks a reason to be explored and is populated by npc's that serve only as backround props. There's interesting ideas in the mechanics that are all unfortunately to under cooked to reach potentia

This game is trash. 1 + hours or tutorials they pause the game, they tell you what to do each time you encounter something. This is a game with telling you where to go & what to do because of a radar meter & map in this game. There's RPG elements, a lot of complex things in the pause menu etc. 5 + hours in all of a sudden this game doesn't show you where you are supposed to go or what to do. This is like a 50 + hour game. I don't need the frustration with this game.

You know it's absolutely great, no need to tell that the 20th time. But man, couldn't they have gotten a better voive actress for such a central character as ciri?? Most of her delivery is just cringeworthy. On a different note: Triss Merigold all the way, man.

What a world they created. The combat's not the best and it's perhaps a bit too drawn out for those incapable of ignoring optional quests, but this is of the highest quality.

The gameplay is a bit lacking. That's the only bad thing I can say. This is nearly unrivaled as far as characters and storytelling go. It puts you into a bleak and self-centered world and forces you to view it all from the outside looking in. This is what makes it brilliant. It helps when you also have the awesome monster design and more interesting characters than have ever been seen before. An early favorite for best of the generation.

Witcher 3 is the best RPG experience in the modern era, hands down.Top-tier writing and dialogue, combined with a deep and interesting RPG system, topped off with solid combat. Everything about the game, ranging from character design to lore-building, screams EFFORT. A must play.

Nearly everything in the game is great... except for the lousy combat, the clunky PC interface, and the lack of meaningful consequences compared to the sheer volume of quests in the game.

The main story is often cliche, and at times terrible. But there are lots of great story arcs, and the truly epic scale of this game (with good quality overall) more than makes up for the writing flaws. Best part: you win the game by being a good father, and lose the game by being a bad father; this is the true potential of videogames.
